The mind is
everything.
What we think we
Become.
All that we are is the
result of
what we have
thought.
Quotes of
The Buddha

AiM = I AM
Refuse all thoughts except one:
the thought "I am".
The mind will rebel in the beginning, but
with patience and perseverance it will yield and keep quiet.
Once you are quiet, things will begin to happen spontaneously and quite naturally, without any interference on your part.

Be the change you want to see in the world

I AM
Refuse all thoughts except one: the thought "I am".
The mind will rebel in the beginning, but with patience and perseverance it will yield and keep quiet.
Once you are quiet, things will begin to happen spontaneously and quite naturally, without any interference on your part.
Just keep in mind the feeling "I am", merge in it, till your mind and feeling become
one. By repeated attempts, you will stumble on the right balance of attention and
affection, and your mind will be firmly established in the thought-
The greatest guru is your inner self. Truly, he is the supreme teacher. He alone can take you to your goal and he alone meets you at the end of the road. Confide in him and you need no outer guru.
All you have to do is to understand that you love the self and the self loves you, and that the sense "I am" is the link between you both, a token of identity in spite of apparent diversity. Look at the "I am" as a sign of love between the inner and the outer, the real and the appearance. Just like in a dream all is different, except the sense of "I", which enables you to say "I dreamt", so does the sense of "I am" enable you to say "I am my real Self again. I do nothing, nor is anything done to me. I am what I am and nothing can affect me. I appear to depend on everything, but in fact all depends on me."
Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
A Sioux Indian Story
My grandfather took me to the fish pond on the farm when I was about seven, and he told me to throw a stone into the water. He told me to watch the circles created by the stone. Then he asked me to think of myself as that stone person.
"You may create lots of splashes in your life but the waves that come from those splashes will disturb the peace of all your fellow creatures," he said.
"Remember that you are responsible for what you put in your circle and that circle will also touch many other circles. You will need to live in a way that allows the good that comes from your circle to send the peace of that goodness to others. The splash that comes from anger or jealousy will send those feelings to other circles. You are responsible for both."
That was the first time I realized each person creates the inner peace or discord that flows out into the world. We cannot create world peace if we are riddled with inner conflict, hatred, doubt, or anger. We radiate the feelings and thoughts that we hold inside, whether we speak them or not. Whatever is splashing around inside of us is spilling out into the world, creating beauty or discord with all other circles of life.

Whatever You Focus On Expands.

A New Beginning
There will come a time
when images have all gone by,
and you will see you know not what you are.
It is to this unseated and open mind
that truth returns, unhindered and unbound.
Where concepts of the Self have been laid by
is truth revealed exactly as it is.
Let us be still an instant, and forget
all things we ever learned, all thoughts we had,
and every preconception that we hold
of what things mean and what their purpose is.
Let us remember not our own ideas
of what the world is for.
We do not know.
Let every image held of everyone
be loosened from our minds and swept away.
Be innocent of judgment,
unaware of any thoughts of evil or of good
that ever crossed your mind of anyone.
Now do you know him not.
But you are free to learn of him,
and learn of him anew.
Only be quiet.
You will need no rule but this,
to let your practicing today
lift you above the thinking of the world,
and free your vision from the body's eyes.
Only be still and listen.
Simply do this:
Be still, and lay aside all thoughts
of what you are and what God is;
all concepts you have learned about the world;
all images you hold about yourself.
Empty your mind of everything
it thinks is either true or false,
or good or bad,
of every thought it judges worthy,
and all the ideas of which it is ashamed.
Hold on to nothing.
Do not bring with you one thought
the past has taught, nor one belief
you ever learned before from anything.
Forget this world,
forget this course,
and come with wholly empty hands
unto your God.

Be Still
Stop looking and you will see,
stop listening and you will hear,
stop seeking and you will find,
stop doing and you will be.
Be still and know that you are Being.
